Established in the year 1955, we are proud to remain the No. 1 name for silk sarees in Thirubhuvanam. We offer a wide range of silk saree collections along with many other saree types.

The Thirubuvanam Silk Handloom Weavers Co-operative (THICO) Production and Sale Society Ltd. No. Z.322 is the biggest co-operative society in Tamil Nadu, producing traditional silk sarees with elaborate designs using pure zari.

The Society is situated in the silk weavers’ cluster of Thirubuvanam, about 9 km from Kumbakonam in Thanjavur District — an ancient temple town famous for silk weaving since the time of the great Chola rulers. Registered on 12.11.1955, it began commercial operation on 24.11.1955 and functions from its own building, with sales outlets across Tamil Nadu and in Puducherry.
