Thirubuvanam Silk Handloom Weavers Co-operative Production and Sale Society Ltd. (Reg. No. Z.322) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through thicosilks.in, why, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Data we collect

• You give us: name, mobile number, email, delivery addresses, product reviews, return requests and messages sent through our contact form.
• Collected automatically: order history, cart contents, IP address, device/browser information and essential cookies needed for login, cart and security.
• Payments: handled by CCAvenue. We receive only the payment status, transaction reference and amount — never your card, UPI PIN or banking passwords.

2. Why we use it

• To process and deliver your orders, issue GST invoices and handle returns and refunds.
• To send order updates and login OTPs by WhatsApp, SMS or email.
• To remind you about items left in your cart (you can opt out at any time).
• To prevent fraud, keep the Website secure and comply with tax and legal obligations.

3. Sharing

We share only what is necessary with: courier partners (name, phone, address), CCAvenue (payment), Meta Platforms / WhatsApp (mobile number and message content for notifications), our email provider, and our hosting provider. We do not sell your data. We may disclose data when required by law.

4. Retention

Order and invoice records are kept for the period required by GST and accounting laws ([8] years). Other data is kept while your account is active and deleted or anonymised when no longer needed or on request, subject to legal requirements.

5. Your rights

You may access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent for reminders, and nominate another person to exercise your rights. Write to the Grievance Officer below. You may also approach the Data Protection Board of India.

6. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, restricted admin access with role-based permissions and audit logs.
